My Friends
The UKadians are a rock `n roll band based in western Manitoba, Canada. The members are:

George Norton (bass, vocals - originally from Wallsend, UK)
Steve Gedai (drums) - Brandon, MB
Lyndon Bournon (guitar, vocals - originally from Bramshill, UK).

Greg McLeod (guitar) was an original member of the band. Greg left due to a hand injury and other commitments.

As well as having played in England for a long time (where he backed Neil Sedaka and Billy J Kramer)George played in The Rockits in Germany for many years. He plays a bass that his wife, Eleanor, bought as a surprise gift from George's good friend Trevor Bolder (Uriah Heep).

Steve Gedai has been one of Brandon's best kept musical talent secrets - a terrific drummer. Steve formerly played with Greg in Nuthin' Fancy.

Lyndon began playing guitar at age 11. Early favourites included Cliff and the Shadows, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan; later, Jimi Hendrix, Duster Bennett....

The first band he played with publicly was at St. Peter's College, Birmingham, in 1973. The band included Malcolm Smart (bass), Phil 'Jazz Lips' Jackson (harp) and Steve Grabowski (Roadie).

When Lyndon first immigrated from England he joined up with Rose and Al Deric and their son, Greg (from Parker, Ontario). As The Blue Chips, they toured Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC, recording an album ("I'll Drink To That") in 1981. In 1982 he married Brenda Magee.

At the end of 1985, The Bournons moved to Kitchener, Ontario. Lyndon started up a duo called Breadline Shoes (with Dave McQuarrie on bass) and then he and Greg (from The Blue Chips) played as The Watermallan Brothers until Lyndon and Brenda began playing as a duo in 1989, continuing in England from 1993 to 1998, while living in Romford, Essex. From 1989 until 1998 the band was known as 'The Clamps'. (In fact, they played their first gig as 'The Penile Clamps' in August 1989, featuring Gerry Slattery, who was visiting at the time from England).
